ADELAIDE schools being hooked up to recycled water systems are set to save thousands of dollars on their annual bills. The Education Department has spent $165,000 connecting eight northern-suburbs schools to Playford Council’s scheme.
They are each expected to save up to $5000 on annual water bills — the size of which are a persistent source of complaint from principals across the state — and will collectively reduce mains water consumption by more than 65,000kL each year.
